John & Gladys Balaram |
In 2010 B.B.I.C. send out our first two short term missionaries. John and Gladys Balaram traveled to the New Delhi area of India with the desire to start a ministry for children who live in the slum, giving them the skills needed to attend classes at a public school. By February they had assessed the need, prepared the training manuals, selected the children, and found a public school that would accept the children upon completion of their training. Some of the training is being given at new Delhi Bible Fellowship Church. This gave John and Gladys the opportunity to include Bible training in their lessons. Contact has also been made with the parents and assistance is given to the home where possible. |

David & Megan Guevara |
David & Megan Guevara made their first trip to Canada in October of 2010, presenting their ministry of church planting and youth ministry to three churches. A Personal word from the Guevaras Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior. My name is David Guevara. I am a missionary to my own country, Honduras. I graduated as a youth pastor from Piedmont Baptist College of Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 2003. During my sophomore year I met Megan Chambers, a missionary kid from Zambia, Africa. We were married on June 21, 2003. We have three beautiful children, Andrew, Adrianna, and Kaeden. We are sent by our home church, Salem Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. We have been in Honduras since July 2005 working with youth; however, our burden for and ministry to teen began several years earlier. As a teenager growing up in Honduras, I was both impacted by and burdened by the lack of specific outreach to and opportunity for saved and unsaved youth. God has continued to use these images and experiences from my past to fuel our direction and opportunities for the future. It is our prayer that God will expand our already-existing ministry, allowing us to reach an even broader range of people and needs. |
